  • Dedicated Modo parking space

No. Railyard is not in BC Housing’s portfolio. 

Yes, there are a number of suites available at below market rates and housing charges are assessed annually relative to household income. 

Yes, there are a number of accessible suites available throughout the building.

Yes. Housing charges are assessed and adjusted on an annual basis in accordance with the agreements with the City and the Community Land Trust.

Railyard and the Community Land Trust are both non-profit organizations and the revenue raised from the building is meant to cover the expenses of the building and plan for contingencies. As such, increases are not based on market rates. 

Railyard is a non-equity housing co-operative and membership shares do not confer a right of ownership. 

Shares are required to be purchased prior to moving in and are based on unit type:

  • Studio & 1-bed: $1,500
  • 2-bed: $2,000
  • 3-bed: $3,500

Shares are refundable if a member chooses to leave the co-operative. 

Yes. Railyard permits up to two (2) dogs or cats per household and other pets in accordance with the occupancy agreement with the member. For more information please contact the Co-op’s coordinator.
